Has your city
imposed watering restrictions?
Many cities in recent
years have imposed some level of watering restrictions at some point
in time. Some are lifted once drought conditions subside and other
cities have kept them in effect even once the drought ended.
Many cities such as McKinney and Frisco are now granting exemptions to
watering restrictions for residences equipped with an ET
(Evapotranspiration) Controller. An ET controller
uses your on-site weather conditions and
plant material data to track evapotranspiration on a daily basis.
Evapotranspiration data allows the controller to determine watering
run times required to keep your plant healthy as well as saving water
by decreasing your watering times automatically at times of the year
when your plants are under less stress. This is a significant
departure from the traditional method used to control watering in
residential landscapes. The net result is lower water use, lower
water bills for the customer, less water run-off and therefore waste,
and healthier growing conditions for the grass and plants being
watered.
Check to see if your
city is currently offering exemptions for residences equipped with
this technology. Many cities as well are
offering rebates as incentives to customers who choose to upgrade
their existing controller to an ET-based model to help recover part of
the cost of the upgrade.

Does your
irrigation system need a check-up or is in need of repair?
Do you have a
specific problem that needs to be addressed such as a particular zone
not coming on, a broken or leaking pipe, broken or missing heads or
maybe a system that is not working at all? Call us today for a phone
consultation. Our staff may be able to solve your problem over the
phone, but if not, we will send an experience repair technician to
your home or business with the tools and knowledge to make a quality
repair to your irrigation system.
We also offer a
system check-up service that is critical in maintaining your system in
top operating condition. We will verify operations of all zones,
verify head coverage in each zone, make any necessary adjustments to
heads that are not spraying in their intended area (such as over
driveways, sidewalks, over patios, etc.). We will also make notes and
present to the customer a list of items that need further attention so
that the customer can make an informed decision with regards to the
state of their system and what course of action to take to repair it.
